THIS MARKET IS NOW CLOSED
What is Commerce Locally Grown?
We are the new approach to the farmers market concept. We provide convenience and connection to dozens of local growers, fresh food, and artisan goods with the click of a mouse.
Unlike a traditional farmers market, YOU get to build your own order from the growers’ current inventory.
No minimum order amounts, no huge payments upfront, and no middle man.
Not all growers are required to have certification, but all growers are committed to not using any synthetic chemicals on your food or the surrounding land. We prefer Certified Organic or Certified Naturally Grown farms.
Commerce Locally Grown’s Mission
Our mission is to provide locally grown chemical free produce and other items through a hassle-free shopping experience for customers to support the local farming community and agricultural resources.
Where We Are
Commerce Locally Grown is owned and operated by The Veggie Patch at Bouchard Farms.
We are a small certified organic and naturally grown farm that produces vegetables, herbs, and seedling starter plants located in Commerce, GA right off I-85 at Exit 147.
The Veggie Patch owner, Dr. Bouchard, has a vision for the farm to be a high quality mixed-use development where people can live, work, and play. He and his wife are happy to now be living full-time on the farm. He stated, “We want to enjoy our life, but we also want to provide a place that would serve the community needs.”
We welcome you to Commerce Locally Grown and hope to be your one stop shop.
Why Support Locally Grown?
Enhance local economy: By purchasing produce and other items from local growers you are providing stability to your local economy through the support of local businesses.
Save natural resources: Buying locally makes you an invaluable link in the process of saving resources such as fossil fuels and packaging materials. Also, we are right here in your community so the expense of transportation and delivery is kept to a minimum.
Provide learning opportunities: Locally Grown supporters provide member growers the means to help educate our community about the importance of sustainable agriculture.
Supporting a way of life: The number of small farms in the United States has decreased dramatically in the last decade. Please help us preserve an honest and worthy means of making a living.
Membership Fees
There is a small annual membership fee of $20 per household to cover the cost of
operating the market; market manager, transportation, and web store. You are welcome to try us for two orders before you pay the membership. The website will automatically add the membership fee to your third order as a separate billing for membership only.
Sponsor a membership! If you would like to sponsor a membership for an individual or family, please contact us.
Placing Orders
Orders are placed here on our website.
Each Friday morning, an email is sent to everyone with a Commerce Locally Grown account letting them know the website is open for ordering. Customers can place their orders for the week any time after that email goes out, but no later than Sunday at 9:00 p.m. when the market closes.
Growers receive their orders that same night and harvest on Monday and Tuesday.
Picking Up Orders
From 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, families can pick-up their produce at The Veggie Patch at Bouchard Farms, located at 594 Nunn Road in Commerce. You pay for your order when you pick-up by cash, check or credit/debit cards.
